Heading Home..

The long haul home.. approx 22 hours flying time and with layovers in Melbourne and Los Angeles blew it out 32 hours travelling time.. Luke, all in all handled it pretty well but by the end of the trip he'd had enough and didnt care who knew about it..
We didnt get off to a good start on the return home, we had booked into a hotel across from Adelaide airport thinking we had to catch the red-eye to Melbourne and after a late night of farewells then getting up at 04:30am to get to the airport in time.
We get there only to find out we werent flying out until 09:30AM. Thankfully Adelaide has a enclosed play area that kept Luke amused whilst we had to hang around.

Australia Day Concert at Elder Park

Another great spot.. Elder Park on the Banks of the River Torrens and just so happened Lee Kernaghan happened to be playing this year.

Was another scorcher and welcomed a dip under the fountain on the paddle boats.

Goolwa & Victor Harbor

We decided to take some time out, so I took Jen and Luke on a mini road trip visiting Goolwa & Victor Harbor which were a favourite holiday spots that Dad used to take us when we were kids. We were fortunate to catch the third stage of the Tour Down Under which went through Goolwa ending at Victor.

Family get togethers..

Whilst we were in Adelaide and apart from the circumstances it was nice to catch up with family and was great for Luke to re-connect and recognise who his Brothers, Uncle's, Aunts and Cousins are..

Pool was a relief from the heat, we left Maryland and temps were bottoming out at almost zero and flew into Adelaide which was experience a heatwave and averaging 40C.
